Blogs I Do Adore

 https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTZPO0aAEKYDkMQGhKi9OFLatr7jz3L5kNlV6H3AGtJAFS-Em8qyQ
Pink Fashion Ninja created by the awesome blogger April Jackson, has been on my reading radar for quite some time. When I first started looking at blogs, there were specific ones I was looking for, and it was for people blogging about living in Korea and their everyday life there. Because if you couldn't already tell, I LOVE the Asian culture, including everything from their food to their fashion style. In fact, my ultimate dream is to live/work there and travel around Korea writing about my adventures while also promoting the cultural side of it! Through this site I get to explore via April, the culture  and an foreigners experience living in Korea.

What's so enjoyable about this site is that April speaks to her audience as if she's right in front of you. Whether she's talking about the latest BIGBANG music video or SNSD's style from their latest release "I Got a Boy." There's no doubt in my mind that she's loving Korea and pours that love into her blog. Not only does she talk about K-Pop and her everlasting love for Rain(!) but also the fashion side of that world to include her own. Plus she's freaking hilarious and a very honest person, which is refreshing in the blogging world!

IMG_9093 Hmm....what can I say about Fashiononymous that anyone else who's been to her blog hasn't said already. First off I would probably wear everything she herself has worn, which is a rare thing, because with most fashion bloggers I tend to like maybe one or two items they wear. But Zoe Suen is another matter. Her clothes are always comfortable and stylish looking, never being too overdone or complicated. Comfortable is my middle name (personal bit here) I won't wear anything that isn't comfy. Hehe. Secondly Zoe's style always looks so effortlessly put together, it's like she's not even trying. The simplistic yet well put together outfits never go overboard, which is key in fashion. Check out her blog today to see even more of her awesome outfits.

Sorry guys this post is so short, kinda lost my blogging momentum this week. BUT I will be getting it back shortly! Trust me :) Stay tuned for Wishlist # 2 post and more coming soon.

I'm in Love...

With CNBLUE!! They freakin blew me away with their latest album called Re:Blue.
*Allkpop*
This album made me a full-blown fan. I've listened to a couple of their past hits but nothing really stuck with me until I heard "I'm Sorry" & "Where You Are." No joke! These guys are extremely talented. I read an article from Allkpop that CNBLUE's leader/lead vocal Younghwa, composed and penned a majority of the songs, not only him but the other 3 guys as well. Which is just wonderful! I'm liking that more and more K-Pop idols are composing and writing their own material. It shows not only their abilities as lyricists but showcases to the audience the artist's personal feelings and emotions. Younghwa has that special talent of singing songs in different genres with no problem. Not a lot of idols can do that which is why I applaud his skills.  According to Allkpop they achieved an all-kill on all the major charts, so it doesn't look like they'll be slowing down anytime in the near future. Enjoy the videos and check out their new album in stores now!

 "I'm Sorry"

 "Where You Are" (Japanese ver)

English ver.

P.S. I'm going to be starting a new weekly segment dealing with my favorite bloggers and fashion so be looking for that in the future!

Here's a lil bonus from Re: Blue

List

I've always wondered how come weekends fly by so quickly but the weekdays drag on forever.....I mean I know but still I'm already ready for summer break and school's only been in session for 3 days!! Anyways, I hope everyone's week went well. Besides school starting up and getting back into the groove of things there hasn't been anything interesting happening in my life.

If you can't already tell I'm a HUGE K-drama fan, so I thought why not make a list of dramas to see next....

1. School 2013

" The teen drama depicts the struggles and dilemmas that modern-day Korean youth face, such as bullying, student suicides, school violence, deteriorating teacher-student relations, private tutoring and other real-life high school issues, all within the confines of one small classroom at Seung Ri High School."(Wikipedia)

I remember Lee Jong Seok from Secret Garden he played the musician who was in love with Oska, he made such an impact whenever he was on screen and I've been waiting to see another drama where Jong Seok is a leading character for awhile. Because those few moments on screen weren't enough for me. I've only heard good things about this show it's the one to watch! And if anyone was wondering where to watch it I usually can find most dramas here

2. Queen-In Hyun's Man

I call this the tip-toe kiss!

"Kim Boong Do is a scholar who had supported the reinstatement of Queen In Hyun when Jang heebin's schemes resulted in her being deposed and replaced as King Sukjong's queen consort. With the help of a spell when he is in going to be killed in a fight he travels 300 years into the future of modern Seoul and meets Choi Hee Jin, a no-name actress who is expecting a career renaissance through her role as Queen In Hyun in a TV drama. She helps him to know about the history of his time and change some events. After that they start to develop feelings for each other, but is it possible for them to have a successful relationship?" (DramaWiki)

I've been wanting to check this one out for sometime, it's not only a compelling love story but fuses the modern day/Joseon period together in a really cool way. I love dramas that really bring to life the emotions two people feel when they fall in love and from what I've seen (and read) Queen In-Hyun's Man does the trick. And I just love Yoo In Na, who was from Secret Garden, she looks like she would be a great BFF to have.

3. Ojakgyo Brothers

"The story of a family with four sons who live together with their relatives on a farm near Seoul. Hwang Tae Hee is the third son and a policeman who falls in love with a girl named Baek Ja Eun. Baek Ja Eun is a haughty young woman who only believes in her pretty looks and is quick to flare up in anger." (DramaWiki)

So technically I have seen part of this show (only watched to the 9th episode or so) but since it's soo long I can't watch too much of it at once. The episodes I have watched so far, are soo cute and I love the family dynamics, characters, and over all feel of the show. Of course seeing Joo Woon *squeal* on screen will not affect my decision to keep watching this.......*snicker* I just need more motivation because it's 58 episodes!

If anyone has any other dramas (it doesn't even have to be Korean) that you would recommend that would be greatly appreciated. So please feel free to leave comments or suggestions. I will respond as soon as possible. Thanks!

My reaction when I looked at my blog and realized I had over 100 views!!!!!

A HUGE thank you to those who read my blog or just happened to have clicked on something which brought you here lol. Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Goal # 1. In 2013 is to bring you the readers more exciting content. To include maybe taking photos of things I'm inspired by, enjoying at the moment etc.

Goal # 2. Is to find a new design as Blogger's themes can only be used for so long before you get tired of them. If anyone has any ideas or anything you want to see on this blog just comment below.

Aaand I will be making 2 big trips this summer to Hawaii and Japan!! EEEEEEEK! So for us to be prepared my mom ordered Japanese books for us to study and at least learn the basics to get around with. She's also taking an Chinese class at my college to help her learn even more characters! When my mom's into something she goes all in, hey just like me hehe. Personally I think if your gonna visit another country you should try and learn at least  the basic words. Just my two sense and now I'm done. Hope everyone enjoys their week!

My Top 3 Dramas of 2012 Part 3

Last but not least in this 3-Part is......

Vampire Prosecutor 2!!
So where do I start.......I confess I had a hard time writing this review as I just couldn't get into the mode, must be the holiday blah coming over me or something. And spending time with family and friends during my break, has kept me away from trying to finish this piece, so I apologize for the delay. I LOVED both 1 & 2 (You can go watch season 1 here) of this series but this is about Vampire Prosecutor 2. It was mind blowing, I never knew what to expect from the show as it continued where it left off from the previous season. It was darker more grittier then before and balancing that out with the more comical part of the show kept me anxiously awaiting the next episode. I hope they will make a Season 3 because the cliffhanger ending cannot just be left to hang there. Your probably gonna here me say how I want another series a lot but it's the kind of Korean drama you hope will keep making more and more episodes. Because the characters, plot and cases of the week are so engaging to watch and at the end of the day, you won't forget what you just saw.

Starring Yeon Jung Hoon

 Lee Young Ah
Lee Won Jung
Lee Kyeong Yeong
Kim Joo Young

Ok I HAVE to start with the fact that Yeon Jung Hoon looked absolutely handsome in Vampire Prosecutor. Like goodness his wife is a lucky woman and he seems like a pretty chill guy so another point to him. This was my first drama with this actor and I was very impressed with his role-recently saw him in another drama Can Love Become Money, he did an awesome job there too. And when he makes faces like this you can't help but fall in love with him even more.

His character Min Tae Yeon has to not only deal with being an vampire but also the safety of his crew this season. We get to see more of the vampire side then the"human" side where we get to see even more conflict that he has to face. Min Tae Yeon might have that slightly arrogant/broody part to him but he's just a guy yearning to find his sister and bring justice to the courtroom. I like that he is slightly neurotic- a la Joo Won from Secret Garden except less OCD- I like the looks-clean-cut-but-really-isn't- types who have more dimensions that we don't see.

The bromance between Min Tae Yeon & Soon Bum is such a welcome relief from all the sinister stuff going on in the episodes. They're tight bond really lightens the show and I'm glad Tae Yeon has someone to lean on. Soon Bum is one tough cookie always using his fists to get the truth from suspects. It's like Tae Yeon is the brains and Soon Bum the arms. Hehe. Without him, Min Tae Yeon wouldn't be able to have an close confidant to keep him in line from his occasional "vamp" outbursts.

I love feisty Jung In shes the type I'm always rooting for versus the helpless female characters who can't do anything for themselves. The writers did a good job in writing out this role for Young Ah, absolutely adored her chemistry with Yeon Jung Hoon & Lee Won Jung you could tell they were enjoying themselves.  SPOILER ALERT. She doesn't know Min Tae Yeon's secret yet, but she's smart enough to know something is up with Prosecutor Min. Jung In also has a secret past that she tries to run from thus why she's fighting for justice so strongly. Her weakness is Min, though I HOPE (if there is a season 3) that we'll get more scenes with just the two of them and not a cop out by giving us a fantasy episode like they gave did in ep 4.

All in all, Season 2 kicked butt even though one of my favorite character's died. *sad face* I enjoyed the pace but disliked the ending because it left us hanging...which would mean their telling us there's gonna be another season... I Hope. But I liked that we got to see more of the vampire conflict and the responsibility that comes with it. Like how the combination of blood and Jung In being around Min Tae Yeon could result in him vamping out so he's always careful with that, really keeps the can't-be-together-story more realistic. If you like Bones/Angel/CSI this show has elements of all those shows but with their own spin on it.

So go and check this show out guys it will be well worth your time!
Best stank face ever.

*I will not be able to update regularly for this month except for once a week, so if your wondering why the blog isn't being updated thats the reason.

*I want to thank those of you who visit my blog, I know it's still in its early stages but I appreciate you all taking the time to read it. *
